2006: A New Kind of Campaign

Earlier this year, the Oregon House Democrats became the first legislative caucus in the nation to host its own blog.

Now we are going to bring that commitment to open government and direct citizen interaction to our campaign to take back the Oregon House.

This election, the Oregon House Democrats are going to do something that few campaigns ever do: Listen. Our pledge to you.

Jean Cowan Campaign Launches Website.

Last week, Jean Cowan became the first candidate ever in House District 10 to launch her own campaign website. House District 10 is a large district covering most of the central coast and rural Lane County including the communites of Newport, Lincoln City, Waldport, Depoe Bay, Siletz, Yachatz and Toledo.

If you are anywhere near the Central Coast, you can join Jean on April 29th as the Cowan campaign takes part in the DNC's 50-state canvass.

Jean ran for this seat in 2004 and lost to incumbent Alan Brown by votes. This time, she got an early start and she's been working full-time to mount a winning campaign since October of 2005. A victory in District 10 will be a huge part of gaining a new Democratic majority in Salem, and we need everybody's help to make it happen.

Jean & Patton, Sorry I'm not there to lend some help. I'll be back to Lane you after Jim Robison wins his Democratic Primary in Multnomah and after my lease run out on June 30th. Jim's last scheduled event is 4th of July weekend. See you after the 4th of July weekend. -el
